helping children look to jesus

The heart of children's ministry at our church is to teach kids about who God is and how His word applies to their lives in creative and memorable ways. Through engaging teaching, supportive environments, and close knit small group classes, we guide kids towards a better understanding of what it means to have a real relationship with God. We want kids to know that the Bible is full of interesting stories that matter in their lives today, that fun and games are definitely allowed at church, that worship can be full of music and engaging stories, and that there are adults in the church who truly want to love and lead them closer to Jesus. In other words, we want them to know that where God is, life is a lot more fun!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (VBS)

VBS is a nationwide program many churches offer.  The purpose is to incorporate themed activities that entertain kids with the chance to learn about God.

Many great things about VBS at Linwood:

1. Children have fun learning about Jesus.

2. Life lessons help every child learn how to be a good person and a friend to others.

3. Perfect for younger children to get a feel for camp without having to go away overnight.

4. Kids meet new friends who share their beliefs.

5. You don't always have to be a church member to attend VBS.

6. It's FREE!

sabbath school classes

Bible classes for children each week in church give them an important place to learn and grow. Seventh-day Adventist churches offer these classes, called "Sabbath School" for all ages every Saturday:

Start time: 10:00 a.m.

*Beginners (ages 0-5)

*Primary (ages 6-10)

*Earliteen (ages 11-17)

It is our prayer to help children make Jesus first in their lives. Jesus ministered to the children and calls us to follow His footsteps.  Each Sabbath morning, Sabbath schools for each age group welcome children to active learning geared to their stage of faith development. These classes provide faith-shaping experiences.
