Righteousness= That Is Not Right

1.= Luke 18-9-14 – True righteousness is found in the heart.
A.= Matt. 23:23 – The Pharisees were serious about the law, but they lacked true inward godliness and love. Th= eir righteousness was not “right” in God’s eyes.
· Isa. 1:11-20 = 211; The Pharisees came to church to perform the rituals and ceremonies in which they trusted.
· John 9 – The Sabbath was more important than the purpose of the Sabbath – worship & healing.
· The pulpit, the flagpole, & divorce.
B.= Luke 18:13 – The tax collector came to church to confess his sins and requ= est God’s mercy.
· Luke 4:16 – Jesus attended church regularly.
· Matt. 18:20 – Jesus is present at chur= ch.
· Heb. 10:25 – We are admonished to gath= er for worship.
“We should improve every opportunity of placing ourselves in the channel of blessing. . . . The convocations of the church,= as in camp meetings, the assemblies of the home church, and all occasions where there is personal labor for souls, are God's appointed opportunities for gi= ving the early and the latter rain.” {FLB 246.6}
· Rom. 3:23 – We have all sinned.
· Luke 13:10-17 – Healing & forgiven= ess at church.
· The lady who sensed the divine presence at church.
C.= Gal. 2:16 – We are saved by faith – not by works of the law
· Acts 13:39 – We are not justified by t= he law.
· Rev. 7:9-17 – We are saved by the bloo= d of the Lamb.
· The lady who said she was not a “good Adventist”.
· Dwight Moody and the lady who tried to save herself.
