1. Acts 1:1-2 – Jesus gave commandments to His disciples.

A. Marriage.

· Gen.2:21-24 – Jesus created marriage.

· Heb. 13:4 – Marriage is honorable.

· 1 Tim. 3:2 - Monogamous marriage is God’s plan.

· John 4:18 – Just living together is not marriage.

· The left fielder’s marriage.

B. Baptism.

· Matt. 28:19 – Jesus commanded baptism.

· John 3:5 & Mark 16:16 – Baptism essential to be saved.

· Luke 3:21-22 – Jesus’ baptism fulfilled righteousness.

· Act 2:38, 41 Baptism is the door to the church.

· Acts 8:26-39 – Baptism by immersion.

· Rom. 6:3-6 – Baptism means a new beginning.

· Immersion was the only method in the early church.

· Over 3,000 baptized in the Adventist church every day.

· The lady in China who baptized many converts.

C. Communion.

· Matt. 26:26-30 – The life and death of Jesus for us.

· John 13:1-17 – The importance of ceremonial washing.

· Ex. 30:17-20 – The priests washed at the temple.

· Titus 3:4-7 – The cleansing of the Holy Spirit.

· The young lady washed the old man’s feet.

· Jesus said “Follow Me.”
